Butterfly, Genus Maricruz: Vagina Necklace
One can always find butterflies flitting around gardens, making their way from flower to flower. Behold our newest creation Butterfly, Genus Maricruz: Vulva Pendant, who looks like she stepped out of a Victorian garden.
This heart-shaped butterfly-inspired Vulva art piece is sculpted in a gorgeous garden array of lavender, lilac periwinkle, peach, rose, and cream. She is dusted with an iridescent shimmer powder all over (with an extra helping of shimmery cornflower blue anointing her clit) and has hand-carved detailing, accented in black. Butterfly, Genus Maricruz: Vagina Pendant is mounted on a platinum bail and hung on a platinum chain embellished with glittering heliotrope and crystal cathedral beads. The perfect gift for any Virginia Woolf lover or the gardening feminist in your life.
• Hung from a 19.5” platinum plated chain
• Crowned with a platinum plated bail
• Pendant measures 1.4” by 1.3”
The model for this piece is Maricruz. Hear her roar!
Her inner labia are reinforced with two hand-applied layers or resin and the entire piece is coated in a protective satin glaze.
Never made with a mold. Each Vulva pendant is the hand-sculpted clay original. We prefer clay to resin for its fleshy look and texture.

The Metamorphosis Collection
“I was teased relentlessly at school because of my outward appearance and I was an early bloomer, so the girls and boys in my classes would call me “whore” or “slut,” even though I was not sexually active at the time. The boys never found me attractive so sex was the last thing on my mind. “- Maricruz
First the ladies of VLL whipped it out: to show you there is no one perfect Vulva, we are all different and freaking fabulous at that.
Now they are speaking out: because we all feel differently about our bodies and that’s the way it should be. No one can tell you how to feel and you should never be ashamed of it. Own it, honor it.

Because women don’t normally have a visual reference for what is normal ‘down there’. We can’t even see what we have! When we do have a visual reference it generally comes from porn in which women are chosen based on the shape of their Vulvas and are bleached, dyed, shaved and surgically altered. Porn Vulvas are like Chimeras, they do not exist in the natural world.
We use real models to show women that no matter the shape every woman is beautiful. We use real models to show women there is no standard Vulva: they are all different and perfect as is. Bleaching is NOT required.
