Butterfly, Genus Marissa: Vulva Necklace
This heart-shaped butterfly-inspired Vulva art piece is sculpted in a pastel yellow green, with intricate hand carved detailing and accenting veins of opalescent light blue. Butterfly, Genus Marissa: Vagina Pendant is mounted on a platinum bail and hung on a platinum chain embellished with golden and seafoam glass cathedral beads.
• Hung from a 20” platinum plated chain
• Crowned with a platinum plated bail
• Pendant measures 1” by 1.1”
The model for this piece is Marissa. This is her Story.
Her inner labia are reinforced with two hand-applied layers or resin and the entire piece is coated in a protective satin glaze.
Never made with a mold. Each Vulva pendant is the hand-sculpted clay original. We prefer clay to resin for its fleshy look and texture.

The Metamorphosis Collection
First the ladies of VLL whipped it out: to show you there is no one perfect Vulva, we are all different and freaking fabulous at that.
Now they are speaking out: because we all feel differently about our bodies and that’s the way it should be. No one can tell you how to feel and you should never be ashamed of it. Own it, honor it.
Experience your own Metamorphosis.

Because women don’t normally have a visual reference for what is normal ‘down there’. We can’t even see what we have! When we do have a visual reference it generally comes from porn in which women are chosen based on the shape of their Vulvas and are bleached, dyed, shaved and surgically altered. Porn Vulvas are like Chimeras, they do not exist in the natural world.
We use real models to show women that no matter the shape every woman is beautiful. We use real models to show women there is no standard Vulva: they are all different and perfect as is. Bleaching is NOT required.
