Butterfly, Genus Fishnet Mama: Vulva Necklace

This butterfly-inspired Vulva art piece is sculpted in shades of goldenrod and autumn orange and is regally patterned with concentric circles in white, silver, and black details, and dusted with an ochre iridescent shimmer powder. She’s hung on a rose gold chain embellished with gold-framed glass cathedral beads, and floral porcelain beads.

Her inner labia are reinforced with two hand-applied layers or resin and the entire piece is coated in a protective satin glaze. Never made with a mold. Each Vulva pendant is the hand-sculpted clay original. We prefer clay to resin for its fleshy look and texture.

When we do have a visual reference it generally comes from porn in which women are chosen based on the shape of their Vulvas and are bleached, dyed, shaved and surgically altered. Porn Vulvas are like Chimeras, they do not exist in the natural world.
