At My Core - Vulva Necklace

Recently I was stuck in a creative funk and could not conceive of what to make. So, I asked our fans what I should work on. You told me, “if your feeling dark and funky then sculpt something dark and funky”. So here she is: my core, my dark deep down funk.

Perhaps she is the line between pleasure and pain. Perhaps she is the gossamer divide between death and life. Perhaps she is the void that comes with enlightenment. Regardless, you’ll want to contemplate her intricacies, as she only becomes more beautiful and transformative the more you try to pin her down to reality. At the Core is hand sculpted from a myriad of shifting colors. With the palette of the phoenix rising from the ashes, her outer labia is rendered in marbleized swirls of fire and accented with an etched organic vine design reminiscent of henna tattoos. The inner labia are highly textured black clay and adorned with gold rings. And the nexus of the piece is bursting into blossom with the subtly carved lotus in vibrant peacock blue.

This hand sculpted Vagina art pendant is hung on an 19.5″ antique copper chain and fastens closed with a brass lobster claw clasp.
The Yoni on this piece of jewelry measures 1.2” x 1”. Her inner labia are reinforced with two hand-applied layers or resin and the entire piece is coated in a protective satin glaze.

Never made with a mold. Each Vulva art pendant is the hand-sculpted clay original. We prefer clay to resin for its fleshy look and texture.

Because women don’t normally have a visual reference for what is normal ‘down there’. We can’t even see what we have! When we do have a visual reference it generally comes from porn in which women are chosen based on the shape of their Vulvas and are bleached, dyed, shaved and surgically altered. Porn Vulvas are like chimeras, they do not exist in the natural world.

We use real models to show women that no matter the shape every woman is beautiful. We use real models to show women there is no standard Vulva, they are all different and perfect as is. Bleaching is NOT required.
