The Goddess Juno is the protector of the women of Rome.
She is connected it to the renewal of the new and waxing moon. She is the divine protectress of the community, who shows both a sovereign and a fertility character, often associated with a military one.
Two of her functions are the cyclical renewal of time in the waning and waxing of the moon and protection of delivery and birth.
