Shakespeare’s Miranda- Vulva Pendant
Miranda is a refreshing character: openly compassionate and unaware of the evils that exist in the world around her.
At the age of three she was banished to an island with her father. Having spent the next 12 years there she had lived almost all of her life seeing only the faces of her, her father and their monsterous slave Caliban. When a group of men become shipwrecked on the island her completely wonderful ability to find the beauty in everything comes out loud and clear when she exclaims:
"O wonder!
How many goodly creatures are there here!
How beauteous mankind is! O brave new world,
That has such people in't."

This piece is sculpted in shimmering pale colors and highlighted with a light gold and springtime green. She is set into a beautiful opalescent sea shell. Her inner labia are detailed to mimic the pattern on a sea urchin. The piece is crowned with a cold wire wrapped spiral sea shell.
• Hung from a 19" soldered antique brass chain
• Full pendant hangs 3.5" long
• Focal shell measures 1.5" x 1.5"
The model for this piece is Treakel
Because women don’t normally have a visual reference for what is normal ‘down there’. We can’t even see what we have! When we do have a visual reference it generally comes from porn in which women are chosen based on the shape of their Vulvas and are bleached, dyed, shaved and surgically altered. Porn Vulvas are like Chimeras, they do not exist in the natural world.
We use real models to show women that no matter the shape every woman is beautiful. We use real models to show women there is no standard Vulva: they are all different and perfect as is. Bleaching is NOT required.
